still good.

Still good. Despite the fact that this is pre-web, the web actually makes this book better. Take the basic structure of the trips, and you know where to look to get up-to-date info. I tracked down a good used copy, and it provides the base for my trip planning, where and when to go, and how to get there. Many things like state parks haven't changed, and in other case prices have stayed amazingly stable.

Excellent book

We gave this book for Christmas to a couple who are long-time, very experienced bird-watcher friends of ours. They report that it is an excellent book which they plan to use as a guide to expanding their very extensive bird-watching sites in the U.S.
We are not "A St Augustinian", but there seems to be no way to change that designation. The option goes away when "edit" is clicked. We also have no other reviews to be answered.

A great aid

While I won't be following any of the trips outlined exactly as presented, I found this to be a very helpful addition to my library.
It gives good guidance on where and when to go to various regions and then I follow up by getting all the local information.
It is great for inspiration!
